Global warming hasn't exactly caught up to North America the way it has in areas like Central America. However, many truly impoverished regions are suffering because of our addiction to cheap energy and easy economic growth. That's why I think we need a global governing force to protect our planet. We need look no further than the joint efforts of Germany and China to see the power of cooperation.
